ALBUQUERQUE LATIN DANCE FESTIVAL

Event Time: 3 Days event / Event Location: National Hispanic Cultural Center

The festival, a four-day celebration of various styles of Latin dancing, features events at multiple locations around the city. This event offers every subset of salsa and Latin dance style for the absolute beginner to advanced dancer.

What better way to enjoy Albuquerque’s warm summer nights than with Latin dancing Alfresco! Our delicious summer evenings bring our community together to experience the exhilaration that is dancing and/or simply listening to exotic Latin rhythms brought to life! The collective energy of a community in sync with these exotic rhythms is contagious.

The Albuquerque Latin Dance Festival hosts three nights of dancing under the stars. The annual Old Town dance on the Plaza and at the National Hispanic Cultural Center on the Plaza Mayor and Fountain Plaza. These are two amazing venues for this soulful Latin experience. Sharing a dance with another to the intoxicating rhythms of Latin dance music is a most gratifying way to release stress and enjoy self-expression.The warm outdoor setting adds to the romance.

For those of us who desire to learn to dance to these varied exotic rhythms, the festival offers multifaceted workshops in many Latin dance styles. For those of us who feel a bit intimidated but would love an opportunity to learn, a beginner’s only Salsa Dance Bootcamp is a great peek into and experience the very exciting world of Latin dancing. Albuquerque Latin Dance Festival is a very complete event which not only brings the community together with food and drink, but offers an opportunity for local and out of town dancers, musicians, artists, performers and instructors who express and share all their most developed gifts! The Festival also offers workshops for anyone looking to begin to dance and on-up to the intermediate/advanced dancer looking for an edge and a challenge. Experience it for yourself!
