If you want a clean, cheap-ish, no-frills motel near all the cool stuff, then definitely stay here.
my brother and I are driving across the country and decided to spend a night in albequerque without knowing much about the city.
we decided, based on travel books, to stay in nob hill, for it’s location, commerce, and location to other areas. we wanted to stay in a cheap motel instead of camping and this seemed like the best option. though it is a little pricey the front desk staff worked with us poor graduate students and were very nice. I’m glad we decided to stay here.
This place was great stayed for 4 week me and my 2 kids. You are so close to so many things to do and they treated us so good. And they would bbq every weekend. The owners where so great. I think anyone would in joy this place
Stayed October 2014
“Great place , clean , clean and very good price ! On the famous Route 66 !
We stayed for a few nights and it was very clean , right in the middle of Albuquerque , central where everything is, in walking distance of all the restaurants and pharmacies and pretty much everything . Nice view , TV , awesome Wi-Fi , restaurant right in there , pool , large parking lot .
You won’t regret ! We will definitely come back !

“I had a great time in Albuquerque when staying at the Hiwayhouse Motel. The neighborhood is very nice with good restaurants and shops to walk, eat, and shop. Beautiful University of New Mexico is near with free exhibitions. The atmosphere is genuine vanishing folklore: original Hiwayhouse mood in the Route 66. Personnel is really helpful and rooms are cool and quiet, and coffee is great. I can recommend, and hopefully will come back!
Stayed April 2015, traveled solo”
“the main reason we stayed here, was to have a good night rest, which succeeded. The bed is fantastic, so are the pillows. The room has good curtains, so no light ( or noice) enters while you sleep.
In the morning you can take a warm shower in a clean bathroom.
The host is really sweet and helpful. She gave us great tips to eat/drink, and looked for maps etc.
If you want to stay in Albuquerque and discover it, it has the best location. Nob hill ( route 66 / creative local shops etc.) at one site, old town at the other.
We can only recommend this place
Stayed September 2014, traveled as a couple”
“This is a great Hotel, it takes you back to when Route 66 was the road to travel and it has that old time feel. The rooms are large and full of light, the location is great because UNM is close by and so is anything else you may want to do or see. Shopping is great in Nob Hill and Old town is a short distance and is really cool with all the Indian merchants and tourist sites. George and Family offer a nice quite area away from Central so you don’t hear the revelers at night. The Korean BBQ is a local favorite and should not be missed.”
